Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)

Hair contains all the minerals present in the body, including nutritional as well as toxic heavy metals. Human hair has been accepted as an effective tissue for biological monitoring of toxic heavy metals by the US EPA. Hair accumulates all important trace elements, is a commonly available tissue, is wide spread geographically, is easily collected, stored and transported. Hair specimen can be re-sampled and is present in polluted and non-polluted areas. The content of hair correlates also with environmental gradient of metals. For many years hair has been used as an indicator for nutritional status and supplementation in animals. Several minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium help regulate our energy production. Only if these minerals are at normal levels, then the body will be working at peak efficiency. Another important aspect is the ratio between these minerals. For example, the ratios of Ca/K and Na/Mg determine how fuel (such as sugars) is provided and burned to supply energy.

HTMA as a lab test measures the mineral contents of hair and provides a picture of the body’s internal environment. It is important to know that what serves as good nutrition for one person may not be good for another. HTMA will greatly help to assess correctly the true nutritional needs of a person, which supplements to take and which to avoid.

Far-infrared (FIR) Sauna

Activated by heat, the FIR material of the sauna emits FIR energy, which is absorbed by the body and establishes a resonance, thereby instantly initiating cellular activities resulting in a better blood circulation and overall improved metabolism.

The FIR waves stimulate the release of Nitric Oxide (NO) from cells which relaxes and expands the circulatory system for more efficient circulation and oxygenation of all body’s tissues and cells.

Because FIR sauna’s heat speeds up the metabolic process of vital body systems, a substantial caloric loss may also result. FIR ray energy is a form of sun light energy minus the skin damaging UV. FIR is capable of penetrating, refracting, radiating and reflecting.

The fact that FIR penetrates deep into body’s tissues explains its high rate of absorption.

The thermal effect within the tissues deep layers contribute to dilation of blood vessels and capillaries, resulting in a better blood circulation. The produced heat helps the body rid of toxins and metabolic wastes through sweating.

The FIR waves are not blocked by the air molecules and can penetrate a couple of inches into the body. While the person feels quite warm and perspires, the skin is not hurt by hot air found in conventional heat therapy devices.

Detox Foot Bath

The foot bath unit produces a bio-charge that resonates throughout the water at a frequency specific to each individual person who is having a session. The negative ions released during a session are similar to those found in hot springs and other naturally charged water sources. They help to rebalance the body’s energy meridians by permeating and realigning a person’s energy field, thereby enhancing and amplifying the body’s ability to heal itself.

It is typical for a person to feel relaxed with a heightened mental clarity right after a foot-bath session.

The power supply of the unit generates and sends a direct current (DC) through a set of electrodes submerged in water which produce large quantities of negative ions. The refreshing feeling when walking along the beach is contributed to the ionic field produced as water molecules smash together on the sand. The ions are able to enter the body through relatively large pores of the feet and be transported throughout the body by circulatory and lymphatic systems. The ions can potentially neutralize the oppositely charged toxins in the cells and so contribute to the body optimal functionality by ridding of toxins, free radicals and body’s waste products

According to reflexology practices, the feet are channels through which the body attempts to clean itself of toxic wastes. Some of the reasons behind foot bath function include:

  • Electro-osmosis created by toxic concentration gradient and electrochemical potential gradient developed across the skin
  • Increased skin permeability under applied electric current around the environment
  • A current-induced water transport effect

Once the feet are placed in the foot bath, large quantity of ions enter the skin and turn the naturally acidic skin (pH=6) into alkaline (higher pH). The change of pH allows the skin to be permeable to variety of anions(-) and cations(+). The ions are then transported through the body. Many toxins are detached from the cell membrane after being neutralized by the ions and can be removed by intracellular fluid through electro-osmosis
